My approach to psychotherapy at its core flows from the original meaning of the word psyche- which means soul. While there is a definitely a place for the western medical model's framework for symptoms and diagnosis, people are so much more this. Our psyche is always guiding us home to our our core nature- who we are beyond our survival strategies, trauma responses and nervous system patterns.  Therapy at its best isn't just about relief from problems or symptoms- it is about a deeper, more loving connection to yourself.

Therapy typically weaves together both science-based somatic and nervous system work with a deepening of your psycho-spiritual relationship with self.  Mind, body and soul are all integrated into the work. The following methods can be used in sessions:

  • Talk therapy
  • Psychoeducation
  • Mindfulness
  • Breathwork
  • Meditation
  • Parts work
  • Body/ somatic work
  • Subtle body/energy work
  • Myth, archetype and dream work
