How Can Breathwork Enhance Your Therapeutic Wellness Practice?




I am a Certified Clarity Breathwork Practitioner, trained through Clarity Breathwork. This style of breathwork is part of the Rebirthing Breathwork lineage- a gentle yet powerful style of breathwork that supports the transformation and clearing of trauma and negative patterns held on physical, mental and energetic levels.  As these old patterns are transformed, it allows one to live with more peace, joy and creative vitality.


Understanding Rebirthing Style Breathwork:

Rebirthing Style Breathwork is a therapeutic modality that focuses on conscious connected breathing to access and release unresolved emotions, traumas, and limiting beliefs. It was developed by Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray in the 1970s and has since gained popularity as a profound tool for personal transformation. This technique aims to create a safe space for individuals to explore their inner world, heal past wounds, and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness.


The Process of Rebirthing Style Breathwork:

During a Rebirthing Style Breathwork session, individuals are guided to engage in a specific breathing pattern while lying down known as conscious connected breathing. This involves taking deep, full breaths in and out without any pauses between inhalation and exhalation. The breath is directed into the belly, chest, and upper body, allowing for a continuous flow of oxygen and energy throughout the body. This particular breathing pattern along with specific music puts you into an altered state of consciousness, allowing the ego and thinking mind to quiet. As the breathing pattern is sustained (typically for 45-60 minutes), individuals may experience a range of physical, emotional, and energetic sensations. These can include tingling, muscle tension, emotional releases, and a heightened sense of awareness. The facilitator provides a supportive environment, offering guidance and encouragement throughout the process. In this state what has been hidden in the unconscious and in the body can become conscious. In meeting it with the breath and an intention of love, powerful transformation and clearing can take place. It allows us to connect back to our true nature. The breath is one of the most powerful medicines we have for mind, body and spirit, and it is always available to us.

Current breathwork offerings at Whole Being Therapy and Breathwork

  • In person breathwork groups. 90-120 minutes. This can be a great way to get introduced to the practice or be part of an ongoing, established practice.    

  • Private 1:1

  • Individually guided 2 hour breathwork facilitation and therapeutic coaching, in person or virtually. Private sessions can be purchased individually or as a package at a discounted rate.
